General Advice
- Google is very useful. When in doubt, use it.
- If you find something cool, share! Often times,
people will share things they've found in return.
- Pay attention to differences in 32 and 64 bit versions
- There are some plug-ins that aren't free, but aren't
$50-100+ like the more popular ones. I have gotten
plug-ins and bundles for just a few dollars.
- Music theory can greatly aid arrangement & composition!
There are many free resources for it, as well.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help, or look up tutorials.
While there are many paths to acheive the same result,
some are much faster & efficient than others.
It may not seem to matter much at first, but that time adds up.
- Don't give up! Unless you've a background in music,
can learn quickly, or both, there's a good chance
that you won't be making anything particularly good
for at least a few months. There's obviously exceptions,
but remember that being bad at something is the first step
to getting kind of good at it.
